The Co-Creation Institute for Advanced Materials participated with an exhibition booth in the All Shimane Networking Event 2024, held on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
This large-scale networking event unites diverse participants from both the San'in prefectures, including businesses, organizations, educational institutions, university students, and high school students. This event aims to nurture and retain young, promising and talented people in the region, who will play crucial role to support and revitalize the local community. It also offers a platform where participants from various backgrounds can gather and showcase their unique strengths and capabilities.
Following the International Symposium on Metal Additive Manufacturing held the previous week, Professor Tadashi Fujieda and Associate Professor Hao Wang from the Institute presented their research under the theme 'The Future of Shimane Unveiled by Additive Manufacturing: Aiming for Space'. Their presentation focused on Metal Additive technology in the field of metal materials science, which is expected to bring revolutionary change in manufacturing industries of the world.
The Institute's booth attracted numerous university and technical college students from both within and outside Shimane Prefecture. The visitors showed great enthusiasm, asking many inquisitive questions to feed their curiosity about the advantages of additive manufacturing and its innovative research themes, particularly about how such cutting-edge technology will be applied to industrial areas such as space exploration. The networking event concluded successfully with high attendance and engagement.
