Organization
This institute was established in January 2024, following the Next Generation Tatara Co-Creation Centre as our research basis and Faculty of Materials for Energy as education basis. This institute is settled in the industry-academia incubation center of Shimane University. The main mission of the co-creation Institute for advanced materials is the acceleration of the social implementation of research achievements of Shimane University for promoting the activities of local industries and contributing to the world’s green and sustainable society, based on the long-term history of Izumo and tradition of “Tatara”.
This institute consists of professors, students, and researchers and engineers from industries and local government, one of the main roles of the institute is multi-mix, low-volume manufacturing of trial products (challenges) of various next-generation materials with local industries.
