About the lab

当研究室では、生体研究や材料研究に役立つよう、ナノスケールからマクロスケールまで対応するマルチスケール光学イメージングおよび分光技術の開発に取り組んでいます。例えば、体積型超解像顕微鏡と高速時間分解分光技術を組み合わせることで、組織や材料の構造や機能の根本的な関係を解明します。この技術によって、生体組織中の病変マーカーを傷つけることなく、より早い段階での検出が可能になります。最終的には、こうした技術をもとに、新しい診断法や技術革新を通じて医療現場の負担を減らすことを目指しています。 また、当研究室では、これらの技術を軟質バイオマテリアルから硬質半導体に至る幅広い材料に応用し、構造と物性の相関を明らかにすることで、次世代の材料設計に貢献しています。さらに、イメージングの深度・速度・解像度の限界をさらに押し広げることで、基礎科学の発展のみならず、将来の健康や技術に関する社会的ニーズにも応える研究を推進しています。
